Your Role:

As an IT Solution Specialist in Business Intelligence, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the performance and functionality of IBM applications, including Data Stage, Netezza, Cognos Analytics, Planning Analytics, Controller, and the Cloud Pak for Data System platform. You’ll build information models, participate in various projects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that prepare our organization for the future.
You’ll be part of a dedicated BI team, currently consisting of an internal Lead Solution Manager, an external development team, and an external support team. This experienced team, with over a decade of expertise, thrives on collaboration and learning from each other in a supportive environment. At Mediq, we don’t believe in the traditional AMS model; our internal team actively makes system adjustments, so we value candidates with hands-on development experience.

What You Bring:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in ICT (or related field)
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience with IBM Data Stage
  • 5+ years of experience designing data warehouse models
  • Familiarity with debugging and analyzing complex BI landscapes (preferred)
  • Additional experience with IBM Cognos Analytics Framework Manager is a plus
• Skills:
  • Proactive mindset and strong analytical thinking
  • Strong process-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication skills (fluent in Dutch and English)
• Must reside in the Netherlands

Your Work Environment:

At Mediq’s Global IT hub in Utrecht (De Meern), you’ll be part of a team that supports operations across multiple countries. Global IT consists of three key divisions:

• Digital Team: Four Scrum teams developing portals and e-health solutions for hundreds of thousands of patients and healthcare professionals.
• IT Applications Backoffice Team: 25 senior SAP professionals, supported by offshore and local consultants, working on integrating back-office systems to support future healthcare challenges.
• Infrastructure Team: Approximately 10 specialists managing outsourced infrastructure, helpdesk services, and other IT-related support (PCs, telephony, laptops).

Working at our Utrecht headquarters, you’ll collaborate with around 500 colleagues and gain insight into all facets of our business.
