Senior Plot & Print Technician
Ben jij klaar om een sleutelrol te spelen in het creatieve proces bij Airworks en bij te dragen aan indrukwekkende shows en evenementen? Wij zoeken een fulltime (40 uur) Senior Plot & Print Technicus met een hands-on mentaliteit om ons toegewijde team van drie personen in onze studio in Weesp te versterken. Samen met je team werk je nauw samen met de ontwerp- en naaiafdelingen om ervoor te zorgen dat de bedrukte stoffen voldoen aan de hoogste kwaliteitsnormen van Airworks. Daarnaast zorg je ervoor dat stoffen op tijd worden geleverd aan de naaistudio en dat elk detail klopt. Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden zijn essentieel, zowel binnen je team als met de ontwerp- en naaiafdelingen.


Jouw rol als Senior Plot & Print Technician
Als Plot & Print Technician ben je verantwoordelijk voor het maken van digitale bestanden en het vervaardigen van patronen en labels op verschillende stoffen, terwijl je ook zorgt voor het onderhoud van onze apparatuur en het beheer van de voorraad. Je rapporteert aan de Plot & Print Manager.


Wat ga je doen?

• Het maken van digitale plotbestanden en het bedienen van plotters voor de nauwkeurige en tijdige productie van grote hoeveelheden op maat gemaakte patroononderdelen;
• Het bewaken en documenteren van de voortgang van de plotprojecten;
• Basisonderhoud en kalibratie van de plotters uitvoeren en de plotruimte schoon en georganiseerd houden;
• Digitale printbestanden voorbereiden en ervoor zorgen dat onze externe partner deze bestanden en alle benodigde informatie ontvangt;
• Printbestanden controleren in samenwerking met de Sewing Leads;
• Labels printen voor inflatables en/of transporttassen en -koffers;
• Kwaliteitscontrole van de bedrukte materialen en bijbehorende documenten uitvoeren;
• Controleren of de minimale voorraad van stoffen, plotterpennen, inkt voor grootformaatprinters en andere essentiële benodigdheden op peil is;
• Ad-hoc productiewerkzaamheden ondersteunen, zoals het afwerken van inflatables met bedrading of ophangsysteem.

Job Opening: Senior Plot & Print Technician
Are you ready to play a key role in the creative process at Airworks, contributing to stunning shows and events? We’re looking for a full-time (40-hours) hands-on Senior Plot & Print Technician to join our small, dedicated team of three in our studio in Weesp. Together with your team you collaborate with the design and sewing departments to make sure the printed fabrics meet Airworks’ highest quality standards. You also ensure that fabrics are delivered to the sewing studio on time and that every detail is just right. Excellent communication skills are key, within your team, as well as with the design and sewing departments.


Your Role as Senior Plot & Print Technician:
The Plot and Print Technician is responsible for producing digital files and manufacturing patterns and labels using various fabrics while ensuring the maintenance of our equipment and inventory management. The Plot & Print technician reports to the Plot & Print manager.


Your activities include:

• Producing digital plot files and operating the plotters to ensure the accurate and timely production of large quantities of bespoke pattern pieces;
• Monitoring and documenting the plotting progress of the projects;
• Carrying out basic maintenance and calibration of the plotters and keeping the plot space clean and organised;
• Preparing digital print files and ensuring that our external partner receives the digital print files along with all necessary information;
• Checking the print files in collaboration with the Sewing Leads;
• Printing of labels for inflatables and/or transport bags and cases;
• Quality control of the printed materials and documents;
• Maintenance of our wide format printers;
• Checking that the agreed minimal stock of fabrics, plotter pens, wide format printer inks and other essential supplies are present;
• Assisting with ad hoc production work helping with the finishing of inflatable products, such as cabling or rigging.

Wat breng je mee?

• MBO-werk- en denkniveau;
• Certificaat in computergestuurd technisch ontwerp;
• 3-5 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare functie;
• Kennis van Excel;
• Je woont in Nederland (vereiste).

Pre’s (geen vereiste, wel een pluspunt):

• Rijbewijs B;
• Heftruckcertificaat;
• Ervaring met Pepakura Designer, Corel DRAW, Photoshop of vergelijkbare software.

Education and experience requirements:

• Intermediate vocational education (MBO) thinking and working level
• Computer technical design certificate
• 3-5 Years of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of Excel
• Residing in the Netherlands is required

Not required but preferred:

• Driver’s license B
• Forklift diploma
• Experience with Pepakura designer, Corel DRAW and Photoshop or equivalent software.
