Senior GL accountant
Overseeing operational financial accounting and reporting processes and owning the intercompany reconciliation process at the group level. It is within reach with this full-time job as senior GL accountant in Almere(Hybrid). We are Finance within Athlon. Getting you there.
Your road to success
Left or right, accounting, monthly reporting, and analysis are your strengths. At Athlon Car Lease International, you will navigate a complex financial reporting structure to meet the information requirements for both Athlon and Mercedes-Benz Mobility consolidations. With HFM as our consolidation software, your expertise will shine as you propose process improvements and ensure data quality through rigorous testing. Your efforts will guarantee that the data processed and the Mercedes-Benz Mobility consolidation system (MIF) are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. You can do this as a senior GL accountant with full focus on:

• overseeing operational financial accounting and reporting processes, including preparing and monitoring GL entries, executing month-end closings, maintaining account reconciliations, and monitoring subledgers for accounts receivable and payable.
• managing key stakeholders, including collaboration with Athlon markets, Accounts Payable teams, Control, and HR to ensure smooth financial operations.
• prepare and provide input for VAT/CBS filings and corporate income tax submissions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• owning the intercompany reconciliation process at the group level, ensuring accuracy and alignment across all entities.
• contributing to the implementation of SAP/GALA systems, supporting transition efforts and readiness ahead of the 2026 rollout.

• a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or similar.
• at least 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar or comparable role.

• being an certified accountant is a pre.
• advanced English skills, with the ability to read Dutch documents passively.

• gross yearly salary up to € 74.945,- (including holiday allowance and 13th month).
• employee budget of € 555,- gross per month (this is used, for example, for a mobility scheme, extra salary, extra leave days or pension investment).

• potential bonus up to 10% of your annual salary including holiday allowance and 13th month (the bonus is 100% based on Mercedes-Benz company results).
