- Collaborates with operational managers and business unit leaders to ensure monthly and quarterly financials accurately reflect the status of European projects. Works with commercial, project management, and operations teams to enhance tender, cost tracking, and budgeting tools.
- Establishes and enforces proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Prepares monthly financial statement reconciliations, explaining variances not accounted for by obvious business activities or trends.
- Maintains the integrity and timeliness of all general ledger accounts.
- Oversees client invoicing, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and supporting documentation.
- Supports quarterly and annual audits, both internal and external.
- Maintains records in accordance with company and client requirements.
- Provides cash management planning and reporting to the business unit, including billing, collections, DSOs, and contract assets and liabilities.
- Leads and manages the finance and accounting team, providing direction in alignment with company strategy. Builds an effective team that manages and champions’ change.
- Assumes full administrative ownership of the accounting and planning function in support of business operations.
- Manages monthly and quarterly financial reviews, closing, and reporting processes for management purposes.
- Manages VAT and Intrastat filings for the Netherlands and Germany.
- Oversees indirect tax filings.
- Miscellaneous Payroll related administration
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of cost accounting principles and the provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxle Y Act
- Knowledge of IFRS, Dutch and German GAAP
