Ocean Freight Operator Import

- Ensure all necessary documents for ocean freight are accurately prepared, processed, and maintained. This includes bills of lading, customs forms, and other required import documents.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing shipment updates, and resolving any issues that may arise to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and update shipment milestones in the company's operational system, keeping all stakeholders informed of the shipment's status.
- Handle financial tasks related to ocean freight, including invoicing, billing, and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and timely.
- Coordinate with various parties, including carriers, port authorities, and internal teams, to ensure shipments are loaded, transported, and delivered as planned.
- Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and company policies, including safety and environmental standards.
What you will need to suceed:
- MBO/HBO level of working and thinking.
- At least 2 years of experience in ocean freight or logistics operations.
- Good communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
