Bar Waiter (International Cruise Liner - RCG)

Join our team as a Bar Waiter aboard a luxury cruise ship, where you'll deliver exceptional beverage service and create unforgettable experiences for our guests. If you have strong customer service skills and a passion for mixology, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase your talents while traveling the world.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests and offer information on drink specials, upsell premium brands, and suggest alternative beverages if needed.
  • Take beverage orders and relay them to the bartender, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  • Ensure drinks are served in the appropriate glassware with garnishes as per the standards.
  • Handle payment transactions, including calculating tips, discounts, and processing payments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned station or table, including removing empty glasses and bottles.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and provide guidance to Bar Utility personnel.
  • May assist with bar services during special events, private functions, and weddings.
  • Adhere to responsible alcohol service standards and follow company policies regarding alcohol consumption.
  • Ensure compliance with food allergies and dietary needs by offering suitable drink alternatives when needed.
Key Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a bar server role, preferably in a 4- or 5-star restaurant, lounge, hotel, or cruise ship environment.
  • Strong knowledge of liquor, cocktails, beers, and wines with the ability to suggest alternatives when a guest’s requested drink is unavailable.
  • Ability to take drink orders, prepare beverages, and up-sell premium products to guests.
  • Ability to work independently, while maintaining high service standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Basic education completion or equivalent.
  • Basic English communication skills required to interact with guests and colleagues.
  • Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor weather or wet/humid conditions.
  • No visible tattoos.
