Waypoint Port Services Ltd. was established in July 2014 in Cyprus, operates Port Agency offices in 14 global locations. We work hard to ensure the quickest possible vessel turnarounds, fast and accurate information and to protect our Customers from the vagaries of the modern day trading and shipping environment.

Our Customers receive the best possible solutions to all their logistical and information problems before their vessel reaches its destination and during the vessel’s stay in port. And we strive to do so continuously in a professional and expert manner by providing tailor made information and dedicated solutions.


Position:

Commercial Manager

Purpose:

  • Identify and convert Local and Global revenue opportunities.
  • Oversee and manage the company’s commercial operations effectively for WPS Egypt.
  • Maintain the existing customer base by measuring and addressing lost business while ensuring proactive and regular sales contact.
  • Achieve sales targets through effective performance management.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team at WPS Egypt to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of customer excellence.
  • Handle customer inquiries, quotes, and appointments promptly and in line with established processes.
  • Ensure that the Sales revenue budget is achieved.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
  • Oversee daily sales activities for WPS Egypt.
  • Actively engage with customers through visits, prospecting for new accounts, and developing beneficial relationships.
  • Achieve agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets.
  • Analyze market trends and data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Submit monthly sales activity reports to the Country Manager.
  • Drive continuous improvements in the company’s CRM system.
  • Represent WPS as a global ambassador to promote business growth.
  • Ensure consistent customer engagement, from timely follow-ups to handling post-sales inquiries professionally.
  • Participate in rate negotiations with local and international clients, alongside the responsible manager.
  • Evaluate customer feedback to drive service and process improvements effectively.
Main Qualifications:
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • At least 5 years of sales experience in the shipping industry (preferably within the Port Agency sector)
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and persuasively.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proactive and results-oriented, with a disciplined and professional approach.
  • Confident in interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Clean police conduct report.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
