SIND Youth Guldborgsund is looking for a volunteer coordinator aged 18-35 who will contribute to the running of the youth community, which makes a big difference for mentally vulnerable young people.
In the youth community, everyone aged 16-35 is welcome, regardless of what vulnerabilities, conditions or challenges they have with them. We work based on the youth-to-youth method, where volunteers and young people meet as equals in a safe and spacious community. In the community, there is room for both deep conversations, laughter and fun, and so there is room to be exactly who you are! It is the social aspect that is in focus.
The youth community meets on Thursdays from 17.00 to 21.00 at Baagøesgade 17, 4800 Nykøbing F.
The volunteer team sets the framework for good evenings around, for example, cooking, eating together, fun, seriousness, board games and everything in between. In addition, they also arrange trips out of the house, such as trips to the cinema, restaurant visits or walks. Besides that, the volunteers' finest task is to help break the silence and taboo about mental vulnerability.
As a volunteer in SIND Youth Guldborgsund, you are helping to make a huge difference for the mentally vulnerable young people who take part in our youth community.

Volunteer coordinator at SIND Youth Guldborgsund
As a volunteer coordinator, your primary task is to ensure motivation, well-being and good cooperation in the volunteer team. Your task is centered around our youth community.
Your role, together with the rest of the volunteer team, will be to create a safe community for the mentally vulnerable young people. You must dare to put into words the difficult things in life, and you must have the energy to listen and be present in the community you create together.

Specifically, your tasks consist of:
Recruitment and reception of new volunteers
Make a duty schedule and coordinate trips out of the house
Planning and holding volunteer meetings and social events for volunteers
Act as an intermediary between the secretariat and the volunteer group
There may be two of you to share the tasks.
If interested, you also have the opportunity to be responsible for the recruitment of volunteers and young people, cooperation with local partners, communication, social media, fundraising and finances.
As a volunteer coordinator, you get close sparring with and support from the secretariat, so you are well prepared to handle the tasks and can develop your skills. You have the opportunity to influence your tasks and the development of the youth community with your own ideas and wishes in cooperation with the volunteer group.
If you have the time and desire to also be an activity volunteer and take shifts in the evenings in the youth community, that is a bonus!

Get involved for at least 6 months, so that you get something out of your time as a volunteer
