Copenhagen Comics needs you, who can coordinate, create job satisfaction and structure the tasks for the many volunteers who are the backbone of the year's big event for Co Co - the annual comics festival. The tasks are diverse, so the most important thing is that you can create an overview and transparency in them. They must be well defined, coordinated with other tasks and solved in the good atmosphere we are known for.
The witty, geeky, enthusiastic and creative volunteers
You should know right away that everyone at Co Co, every single one of them, is a volunteer. Nobody gets paid and we can't offer you that either. We imagine that you have an event manager in your heart and what we can primarily offer is the experience you can gain. You can get a well-known festival with up to 4500 visitors on your CV. We cannot guarantee that you will fall in love with the cartoon universe in DK at the same time, but there is an imminent risk. We are a lot of dedicated, geeky, enthusiastic and very creative people in this little pocket of the world and we have fun!
You have great influence
In 2025, Copenhagen Comics will move to Valby Hallen, a new location, so you have every opportunity to make your mark on the event. We are divided into different work groups and volunteer service works closely with the groups floor planning and ticket sales. You will of course also be well received and receive training, so you are never alone with the task.
Tasks - or some of them
Welcome and onboarding of new volunteers - everyone must feel welcome and comfortable
Coordination with other working groups
Duty schedule for the weekend 7-8. June 2025
Plan for catering throughout the weekend
Good break conditions
What is it like to join?
Copenhagen Comics is known for the good atmosphere at the festival. We have many participating children, many cosplayers with the wildest costumes, visiting artists and writers from all over the world and the weirdest and most curious audience you can imagine. Co Co is driven by the enthusiasm for image-making, storytelling and the togetherness around the explosion of creativity that unfolds throughout the year, but which really blossoms at the festival. Co Co is a really nice place to be, and we very much hope you will help to create that atmosphere again.
