emagine is seeking an experienced Data Engineer (DE) for one of our clients in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for enabling technological access to data by developing ETL pipelines and workflows within data product teams. Utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) and CI/CD principles, you will deliver infrastructure components to AWS environments.

The role focuses on improving data availability and validation, acting as a bridge between Data Science and IT teams through data products. Key tasks include data ingestion, integration, and curation from a variety of internal and external sources, with diverse requirements for data availability, access, formats, and underlying technologies.
The Data Engineer will also play a key role in identifying and sharing best practices, increasing awareness of data management standards, and driving improvements in methods, techniques, and approaches to simplify workflows and optimize processes.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Apache Spark, Glue, and Delta Lake.
Manage data ingestion, integration, and transformation processes.
Leverage AWS services such as S3, Lambda functions, and Athena for data solutions.
Ensure robust version control and delivery pipelines using Git and Azure pipelines.
Apply Python programming for data manipulation and processing.
Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools like AWS CDK.

Requirements:

Proficiency in developing ETL pipelines with Apache Spark, Glue, and Delta Lake.
Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with Data Warehouse concepts.
Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda functions, Athena).
Proficiency in Python programming.
Working experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions.
