Senior Credit Risk Analyst

- Job Title: Senior Credit Risk Analyst
- Reports To: Director/Manager
- Conduct a cursory assessment of sample loans for conformity with the Bank’s credit lending policy and guidelines, and perform appropriate level of risk-based testing as per the checklist
- Create clear and concise documentation of work performed and conclusions reached for management reporting purposes including discussions on findings and preparation of the Credit Risk Oversight Report
- Arrange Loan Review Committee meetings for oversight on problem loans and for discussing the Credit Risk oversight reports.
- Follow up on outstanding issues and tracking and monitoring the outstanding RMD recommendations
- Support the Manager to review the overall appropriateness of ECL methodology and adequate level of ECL amounts
- Support in monitoring the lending performance against the credit limits
- Provide support in preparing the quarterly risk Reports
- Support the Manager in review and validation of credit risk models including 3rd party engagements if any related to ECL/ Credit models etc.
- Manage model inventory for credit risk models
- Perform second line of defense activities for model risk management as per OSFI E-23 guideline expectations
- Conduct periodic stress test for assessing the robustness of the credit portfolio
- Support in managing credit risk management related policies and guidelines
- Oversight on the 1st line of defense including review on amendment of lending policies and guidelines
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned
- Provide support to Enterprise Risk Management and Operational Risk Management activities as per the Department’s needs.
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing training and continuous professional development
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field
- Relevant professional certifications, designations or equivalent education is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in credit risk management
- Strong knowledge of Excel and other analysis tools and/or programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to manage and take ownership of numerous projects simultaneously
