Your tasks
· Monitor natural gas, corn, and chemical markets.
· Hedging gas and corn in co-ordination with Manager of Purchasing.
· Ensuring competitive pricing and adequate inventory on site for chemicals, packaging, auxiliary materials.
· Manage the complete purchasing cycle, from entering the requisition, generating Purchase Order and scheduling delivery.
· Perform monthly inventory for chemicals, packaging, auxiliary materials.
· Perform Vendor audits.
· Negotiate freight tenders.
· Negotiate and coordinate sale of bi-products.
· Create miscellaneous Purchase orders for internal customers within Jungbunzlauer Canada.
·Assist with procurement tasks such as expediting, sourcing, inventory management etc.
·Implement cost saving initiatives.
Your profile
· Post Secondary.
· Purchasing Certificate.
· 5+ years’ in purchasing manufacturing environment.
· 5+ years negotiating agreements.
· 5+ years commodity sourcing.
· SAP an asset.
Your future
Reporting to the Manager of Purchasing the jobholder is responsible the procurement and scheduling of raw, packaging, chemicals, etc. This also includes the negotiation of freight rates and the sale and scheduling of bi-products.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, days. There is flexibility to whichever shift suits the successful candidate. They will have a choice between 7am to 3:30pm or 8am to 4:30pm.
Salary: $70,000 to $75,000/year, based on experience
