Accounting Technician
To continue our growth, we are looking for an Accounting Technician - Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable who will report to the financial transactions lead. The candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of payments to our various suppliers. The individual will liaise with various teams, including procurement, accounting as well as operations.
A typical work day :
Accounts receivable
  • Verify, record and control the sending of invoices to our customers.
  • Verify, record and monitor payment deposits received (checks, transfers, ACH and others);
  • Prepare accounts receivable statements and, with supervisor's approval, communicate with customers regarding various requirements related to their file.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders for problem resolution.
  • Collaborate in the improvement of all accounting processes, documenting and updating procedures;
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Accounts Payable
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders regarding problem resolution and/or supplier inquiries. For example: missing invoices, price or quantity discrepancies.
  • Verify and record invoices in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile supplier statements.
  • Collaborate with coordinator to ensure proper approvals are given prior to issuing payments.
  • Occasional customer service with various suppliers to ensure communication remains intact.
What you need to succeed:
  • DEC in accounting or equivalent;
  • 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar position;
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written);
  • Knowledge of MS-Office and excellent Excel skills;
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment;
