Field Service Engineer – Chromatography & Spectroscopy

Every day, Agilent Customer Support/Field Service Engineers help our customers to solve issues that enable scientists to make life-changing discoveries. Through our work, we deliver insights and provide support that keep labs running smoothly and more efficiently.
In this position, you will provide on-site repair, preventive maintenance, installation, sales support and modification implementation on the instrumentation to ensure customer satisfaction. Your focus will be on our chromatography (GC, GC-MS, LC, LC-MS, HPLC) and spectroscopy (ICP-MS, ICP-OES, UV-VIS) solutions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Respond to customer needs by providing repair, installation, upgrade and preventive maintenance activities
- Contact customers in a timely manner and schedules service efficiently
- Connect with manager and sales team to understand and meet customer needs and expectations
- Maintain Agilent’s customer service reputation by aligning with all corporate policies and procedures
- Complete administrative paperwork and computer reports promptly and accurately
- Provide feedback to the Product Specialists, manufacturing or OEM vendors concerning performance anomalies encountered - use the complaint handling system as required
- Address customer requests for service and communicate proactively before, during and after service
For this role, you will be travelling and visiting clients on a regular basis in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:
- University Degree in Analytical Chemistry or similar (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology…)
- Significant experience in technical support OR as an end user of chromatography and/or spectroscopy techniques such as GC, GC-MS, LC, LC-MS, HPLC, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, UV-VIS
- Basic knowledge of IT network (VPN, servers…)
- Full proficiency in English, besides of proficiency in Dutch or French
- A valid driving license
On a personal level, you are open minded, autonomous, thorough and proactive. You also have great interpersonal skills to communicate with both internal and external partners.

This full-time, permanent position is available as soon as possible. The role won’t be head-office based but working remotely combined with travel to customer sites within your assigned geography (a company car will be available to you).

Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
