EU Field Service Engineer Air & Nitrogen

Job description
As a European Field Service Engineer with specialized knowledge in (de)commissioning of air compressors and nitrogen generators you follow up projects at our industrial customers in Europe (during start-up and throughout the project) to guarantee a perfect operation.

Our rental fleet includes electric- and diesel driven compressors, nitrogen and power generators, steam boilers, coolers, dryers and accessories. From your role you will be responsible for the rental fleet of compressors, nitrogen generators, their aftertreatment equipment and accessories.

Your assignment

• You provide support in the preparation of compressed air and nitrogen projects in Europe, which requires regular travel across the European continent supporting our customers and local teams
• You take the lead in commissioning and start-up of the larger or more complex of compressed air and nitrogen projects and applications
• You document procedures and prepare technical manuals
• You perform extensive diagnoses and make repairs where necessary
• You are the permanent contact person regarding specialty air and nitrogen applications
• You work closely with the air and nitrogen specialists within the Atlas Copco Group
• You share your experience by providing theoretical and practical training to our European technicians

After an induction and training period, as a Service Engineer you will actively participate in the 24/7 service & availability for our customers in Europe. In this position you report to the EU Service Team Leader.

Knowledge, experience and level of education

• You preferably hold a degree in a technical direction or equivalent through experience, and you have several years of professional work experience in a relevant position. Field Service experience is required
• You have specialized knowledge and experience in commissioning air compressors and nitrogen generators
• You can communicate fluently in English and can work with the most common PC applications
• You are strong in administration, can independently produce manuals or training content and can make technical drawings
• You have a driving license B
• Technology is your passion and you want to continuously develop in this area
• You are flexible to working hours and want to be an active part of the 24/7 service. Within the position you are willing to travel, sometimes for longer periods
