Clinical Supply Planning Governance Lead

We are looking for a Clinical Supply Planning Governance Lead to join our Clinical Supply Chain department, based at our UCB campus in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium.
About the role
This role is critical in ensuring the efficient planning and management of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP) for our clinical studies. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing new processes and improvement initiatives aimed at achieving digitalization targets. Additionally, the successful applicant will mentor and share expertise with junior planners, contribute to key cross-functional projects, and serve as an expert on regulatory changes, organizational developments, and change controls and deviations.
Who You Will Work With
You will collaborate with Clinical Project Management, External Vendors, Quality, Regulatory, and the Clinical Supply Chain teams.
What You Will Do
- Develop and deploy clinical supply planning strategies.
- Ensure IMP availability for clinical trials, balancing demand and supply.
- Manage inventory, supply, and distribution planning.
- Lead process improvements and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Act as the key contact for internal and external manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support clinical study operations.
- Train and mentor junior clinical supply planners.
- Translate regulatory and compliance changes into gap assessments and process changes.
- Identify and address major process risks (quality, compliance, financial exposure).
- Deploy, monitor, and improve process performance KPIs.
- Support the Clinical Supply Planning team with Change Controls and Deviations.
- Provide timely visibility on demand, supply, and inventory information.
- Define and monitor clinical, supply, and distribution assumptions and actuals.
- Execute production and distribution plans, addressing capacity gaps with internal and external sites.
- Mitigate supply disruptions such as out-of-drug situations, temperature excursions, recalls, and depot closures.
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply and demand planning.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of SAP.
- Customer oriented, patient oriented.
- Experienced in stakeholder management, cross-functional project management
