Clinical Supply Operations Planner

To strengthen our Clinical Supply Chain department, based in our hub in Braine, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Clinical Supply Operations Planner.
About the Role
This role is primarily responsible for consolidating the clinical plan of dependent and independent demands of semi-finished, drug product (DP), and drug substance (DS) requirements for a group of products. The planner will ensure timely and full availability of semi-finished, DP, and DS for packaging operations, balancing demand and supply while minimizing and controlling end-to-end supply chain costs.
You Will Work With
- Collaborate closely with the CMC department.
- Collaborate with Clinical Supply Planners, Qualified Persons (QP), and External Manufacturing partners
What You Will Do
- Perform monthly planning cycles using supply chain concepts to guarantee DP and DS availability.
- Align with stakeholders and maintain supply chain parameters in systems.
- Propose supply scenarios and drive consensus on leading plans.
- Act as the recognized expert for supply-related activities and information with Project Teams.
- Own planning information on a 36-month horizon and support supply chain experts during budget and 10-year planning cycles.
- Execute operational tasks such as purchase order placement, production and distribution,
- Manage DS and DP demand, supply, and inventory fluctuations.
- Mitigate supply disruptions and act as the key contact for supply operational inquiries.
- Manage supplier’s supply chain KPIs and ensure consistency of records in systems.
- Provide visibility on demand, supply, and inventory information.
- Communicate and summarize complex issues to upper-level management.
- Drive strong partnerships with stakeholders and lead initiatives to improve supply chain planning.
- Lead Supply meeting with internal stakeholders and Suppliers
Interested? For this position, you’ll need the following education, experience, and skills:
- Master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in demand, supply, and distribution planning, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Certification in APICS is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP or any ERP system is a plus
- Strong skills in augmented analytics, financial management, and project management.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken – French is a definite plus
- Knowledge of GMP/Pharma environment is a plus
- Tolerance for risk and uncertainty, and ability to champion change.
- Disciplined, with a high sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
