You'll design, build, and maintain scalable applications while mentoring team members, championing best practices, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure project success.

Shape Our Technology
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of software solutions that enhance Safewill’s products and user experience.
- Transform business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Contribute to system architecture and design decisions to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
- Improve performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing optimised solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, platform and data engineers to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Implement and uphold engineering standards, including code quality, documentation, and testing practices.
- Advocate for continuous improvement, modern SDLC processes, and a culture of innovation.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in modern scripting languages and frameworks for web development (e.g., Nuxt/Vue.js and Nest.js with Type Script, proficiency with modern versions of React & Angular are great).
- Experience with web services like Graph QL, REST APIs, or Web Sockets.
- Strong knowledge of data management technologies (SQL, No SQL, ETL processes).
- Proficiency with containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Expertise in Type Script, Java Script, or similar such as Java, Ruby, or Python (we use Type Script).
- Experience with modern SDLCs and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Atlassian suite, Git Hub workflows).
- Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and Dev Ops practices.
- Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright).
