The Research and Innovation Division incorporates the Office of Research, Graduate Research School, Research Institutes, Research Centres and various innovation, commercialisation and partnership development functions. The Research and Innovation Division drives the University’s research performance and innovation in areas of strength and priority and builds relationships with industry, government and research institutions through local, national and international research networks to leverage research outcomes and opportunities.
Who you are
The Office of Research is seeking a motivated team member committed to service excellence. To thrive in this team and this role, you will have strong stakeholder engagement and communications skills as well as the ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively. You will have high level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify, assess and address issues.
What you'll do
Research Grants play a critical role in the University’s research ecosystem by helping the University achieve its strategic goal of creating and sharing knowledge, transforming lives and solving problems that matter to our world. As a Research Grants Officer you will work closely with our researchers advising and supporting them to submit high-quality grant applications, and provide excellent post award administrative assistance.
What will help you succeed
- A relevant qualification with experience or equivalent combination of experience and training in research grants management and administration;
- Demonstrated ability to gain knowledge of the research grant schemes and conditions applicable to the higher education sector;
- Knowledge of the wider policy and research environment and demonstrated ability to interpret grant guidelines;
- Evidence of high-level attention to detail together with high-level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
- Evidence of highly-developed administrative, system, record keeping and project management skills.

Salary: Total remuneration range $115,122 to $127,298 pa (includes salary range of $97,272 to $107,560 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
