We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our
expanding team.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake repairs, engine
tune-ups, and scheduled servicing to ensure vehicles run efficiently and reliably.
Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical components to diagnose issues accurately,
using a methodical approach to identify both common and complex problems.
Repair and replace faulty parts, including transmissions, steering systems, suspension
systems, braking systems, and exhaust components to restore vehicles to optimal
condition.
Conduct diagnostic tests using specialised automotive equipment, such as On-Board
Diagnostics scanners, to identify issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
Perform vehicle inspections, including pre-purchase and safety checks, and ensure
that vehicles meet all regulatory safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of work carried out, parts used, and service history,
ensuring that all documentation is up to date and complies with industry standards.
Communicate with customers to provide details about repairs, costs, and timelines,
offering clear and understandable explanations to help customers make informed
decisions.
Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure that all mechanical issues have
been resolved effectively and that the vehicle is safe for road use.
Use hand tools, power tools, and automotive testing equipment proficiently, ensuring
tools are properly maintained and safely stored after each use.
Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing
appropriate personal protective equipment, and keeping the workshop clean and free
from hazards.
Advise customers on vehicle maintenance needs and recommend necessary services
to prevent future issues, helping customers understand the importance of preventative
care.
Work closely with other team members, providing assistance and technical expertise
when needed, and contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques,
participating in ongoing training sessions as required to enhance skills and
knowledge.
Assist in managing parts inventory by identifying parts that need to be ordered and
ensuring all used parts are recorded correctly.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues, including wiring, lighting, and ignition
problems, ensuring all electrical systems function properly.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold a Diploma in Motor Mechanic or equivalent qualification in automotive
mechanics.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in motor mechanic services.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong diagnostic skills with a keen eye for detail.
- A commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Pay: $73,500.00 – $75,000.00 per year
