Who are you?
You are a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. With technical experience in industrial or production environments, you excel in designing, implementing, and optimising mechanical systems to enhance operational efficiency. Your strong influencing skills allow you to listen actively, adapt your approach to different situations, and foster collaboration, ensuring win-win outcomes for all stakeholders. You have a proven track record of delivering results by leveraging your analytical expertise to solve both technical and operational challenges effectively. Confident in providing high-quality, commercially viable, and timely technical guidance, you take ownership of engineering service delivery while leading and mentoring technical officers and engineering graduates, supporting their development and growth.
About the role:
To put it simply… You will provide real time engineering services and contribute to the planning and delivery of maintenance and repairs of generation assets. This will involve being able to readily respond to business needs to ensure assets are available to generate as needed to supply the NEM.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be…
✓ Offering commercially and technically sound engineering advice to balance plant condition with commercial needs.
✓ Contributing to the development of lifecycle asset management strategies aimed at improving asset reliability.
✓ Providing engineering input to support plant condition assessments, using historical asset data, inspections, and investigations.
✓ Working across the state to gain a thorough understanding of our asset fleet and respond effectively when required.
✓ Ensuring projects and maintenance activities are properly engineered, resourced, and completed successfully.
✓ Engaging with on-site operational teams to gather and share critical insights about asset performance.
