About Northern Health:

We are located centrally in Coburg – close to Public Transport and parking options.

The Community teams are large, supportive and dynamic teams made up of staff that are truly passionate and motivated in supporting consumers and their families/carers. The Enhanced Support Clinician will work alongside a small number of clinicians to provide high level of clinical support to consumers of the Community Team. This involves being the key contact for a small caseload of complex consumers as well as consumers with intensive recovery needs. The Enhanced Support Function operates within and alongside the Medium-Long term and Acute Functions of the Integrated Community Team.

With support of the Acute function of the team you will provide acute assessment and intervention for these designated consumers when needed. This role is predominately a business hours but there is the option of working a small number of shifts with the acute function of the team.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience working in a Community Mental Health team is desirable
  • Passion about contributing positively to the lives of consumers with mental illness and their families
  • Experience in the provision of Psychiatric assessment and intervention for consumers with a mental illness - preferably in a public mental health setting but this is not essential
