Apprentice Light Vehicle Mechanic

Are you passionate about cars and have a desire to learn and grow within the automotive industry?
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Automotive - Light Vehicle Apprentice, to work with one of our host employers. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn from experienced professionals and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a skilled mechanic in the automotive industry.
As an apprentice, you will receive on-the-job training and work alongside qualified technicians, learning how to diagnose and repair a range of light vehicles. This hands-on experience will allow you to gain experience with mechanical systems, electrical systems, and computerised diagnostic equipment, and learn how to perform routine maintenance and repair work to a high standard.

With the support of qualified tradespeople, you will:
- Work alongside experienced technicians to learn how to diagnose and repair light vehicles.
- Gain experience with mechanical systems, electrical systems, and computerised diagnostic equipment.
- Learn how to perform routine maintenance and repair work to a high standard.
- Assist with keeping the workshop clean and organised.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Performing safety checks
- Carrying our routine services
- Discussing with clients to detect faults
- Any other tasks requested by the host employer
- Passion for cars and a desire to pursue a career in the automotive industry
- Basic computer skills
- Hold a current Drivers License and have own reliable transport
- Work Experience within the industry is highly desirable
- Must be physically fit
- Be self-disciplined with high attention to detail
- Be reliable, resilient, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to take direction
- An excellent communicator
- Take the safety of yourself and your team members seriously

- Award wades (paid fortnightly) + Super + Holiday Leave Loading + Allowances
- You will have a dedicated Field Officer assigned for full mentoring & support during your Apprenticeship as well as a full team of staff overseeing your apprenticeship, ensuring you only need to focus on your work and college.

- ECA has a large network of Host Employers looking to host enthusiastic apprentices and help them become trade qualified
