Pastry Chef | Luxury 5* Lodge | Kruger National Park

Are you a creative and detail-oriented Pastry Chef with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences? This is your chance to join a prestigious luxury lodge in the heart of the Kruger National Park, where your skills and innovation will shine in a world-class kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding food experiences aligned with the lodge’s culinary concept and standards of excellence.
- Supervise food quality and presentation, ensuring hygiene and consistency in every dish.
- Innovatively design and execute menus, catering to a variety of dietary requirements.
- Manage kitchen operations under the guidance of the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef, including stock rotation, portion control, and waste reduction.
- Maintain and monitor the care of kitchen equipment, minimising breakages and maintaining high operational standards.
- Implement and enforce Health and Safety procedures to uphold a safe working environment.
- Train and develop junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a medium-sized kitchen within a similar luxury environment.
- Strong understanding of kitchen procedures, timing requirements, and planning.
- Exceptional food knowledge, including menu design and dietary awareness.
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and oversee kitchen staff.
- Commitment to hygiene protocols, safety standards, and equipment maintenance.
- First Aid training (company-provided).
- High levels of personal grooming, communication skills, and stamina for physical activity.
- Valid work authorisation or South African nationality.
