About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer - API to join our team in Lahore, Pakistan. This is an on-site and full-time role. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing robust APIs to integrate with our Cloud Gate platform and external systems.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs for in-house mobile applications and external system integrations using PHP and Laravel.
• Define and document response specifications for consistent API behavior.
• Optimize API code for speed, efficiency, and scalability.
• Monitor and enhance API performance to ensure responsiveness.
• Implement security best practices in API development.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
• Work with API testing tools such as Postman (automation scripts, collections, environments).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a collaborative development environment.
• Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation.
• Provide technical support and assistance to internal teams.
• Leverage design patterns like Repository Pattern when applicable.
• Manage third-party API integrations.

What are we looking for?
Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience as a PHP Developer with expertise in the Laravel framework.
• Certifications: No specific certifications are required, but familiarity with API-related standards and security best practices is essential.

Required Skills:

• Expert-level knowledge of RESTful API design principles.
• Strong proficiency with version control systems (e.g., SVN).
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of design patterns like the Repository Pattern.
• Experience with third-party integrations.

About Schedule:

• Shift: Morning
• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 40 hours per week
