- Develops and maintains safety programs within the warehouse
- Performs worksite analysis to understand and recognize hazards and potential hazards in the workplace
- Prepares, implements, assesses and revises draft proposals of safety operating procedures and forms
- Oversees and implements the elements of a Crash Management process, including coordination of reporting, investigation, documentation, and management of incidents
- Leads, directs, and supervises reporting team members and/or contractors
- Analyze and identify risk trends, problems, and solutions
- Has influence on staff selection, scheduling, warehouse development, discipline, compensation, performance, and/or terminations of our warehouse workers
- Communicates company and division updates, expectations, strategies, and initiatives to upper-level management
- Facilitate the development and use of effective training, change management, incident investigation, and self-assessment processes
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior experience working in an industrial/warehouse setting preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook
- Completion of DOT Training
- Forklift certified and OSHA Safety Certified
- Ability to travel: 0 – 50 %
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
