Look no further – our small but dynamic firm specializes in crafting automated blending systems that are the heartbeat of some of the most iconic brands in the Beverage, Dairy, Food, and Personal Hygiene industries. You'll be right at the heart of innovation, working with renowned companies such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Cola, Sam Adams, Molson Coors, and Rockline Industries.
What We're Looking For:
We're in search of a brilliant individual with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computor Programming, Industrial Automation, or a related field. If you're yearning for a challenging, hands-on, and slightly unconventional engineering role, you've come to the right place. Our ingenious designs incorporate mass flow meters, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, and more, all orchestrated by Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's).
Your Role:
Your tasks will span a fascinating spectrum, with a strong focus on programming. From designing and programming automated equipment with PLC's to calibrating precision instruments and providing top-tier troubleshooting support – you'll do it all. The stage for your work is spread across the United States and parts of Canada, so get ready to travel and experience new places, as approximately 70% of your time will be on the road.
Who We're Looking For:
As we work in the Food and Beverage industry, background checks are par for the course, so you must be in top physical shape, a non-smoker, and free from DUI's or illegal drug issues. A valid driver's license is a must, as is the ability to travel by air. Although we're not tied to a brick-and-mortar office, you should call the Charleston, South Carolina area your home base for an efficient orientation.
Education and Experience:
This isn't just a job; it's an adventure. You'll operate as a 1099 contractor, with an expectation of approximately 36 weeks of non-contiguous travel each year. Starting at $30 per hour for office work, $30 per hour for travel, and $40 - $70 per hour for on-site service, your compensation will also include mileage and per-diem allowances.

- Experience in Rockwell PLC programming and troubleshooting in an industrial environment is a plus. Experience with specific industries (e.g., manufacturing, automotive, food processing).
- Proficiency in programming and configuring Allen-Bradley Controllogix PLCs.
- Experience in developing and maintaining Rockwell Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Familiarity with industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP and Modbus
- Ability to integrate PLC systems with other hardware and software, including sensors, actuators, and enterprise software systems.
- Strong skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems using PLC.
- Ability to quickly identify problems and devise effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
- High level of precision and attention to detail to ensure safety and functionality of PLC systems.
- Project management skills to oversee projects from conception to completion.
- Designing and programming automation systems for various industrial applications.
- Modifying existing systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to develop and implement system solutions.
- Documenting processes and maintaining logs for software changes and system operations.
- Conducting and overseeing the testing of new systems or upgrades.
