Primary Function:
Sets up equipment, prepares compounds and processes a variety of assemblies, such as
standard connectors and special connectors following written and verbal instructions.
Essential Functions:
 Setup equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer
loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping and contact hooding.
 Weigh, mix and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds and
potting materials.
 Able to interface with customers if necessary.
 Follow intermediate drawings and procedures.
 Perform connector assemblies.
 Perform work with limited to no supervision.
 Train and assist Assembler 1s.
 Manually load and/or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts per work order
instructions.
 Bond loaded front inserts to molded plastic rear inserts per work order instructions.
 Bond interface seals and grommet seals to plastic insert assemblies per work order
instructions.
 Assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shell per work order instructions.
 Apply identification stamping to various components and assemblies.
 Paint components, as well as apply paint stripe markings to contacts.
 Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain safe work
environment. Assure proper maintenance of a safe and clean work area.
 Stage materials for shipment as required.
 Prepare single and shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts to prepared wires,
terminate simple cables to connectors, and load and operate heat treat and annealing
ovens.
Basic Qualifications:
 1-2 years’ experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations
 Ability to read, follow and understand verbal instruction, product/ process
specifications, drawings, and work orders in English
 Ability to use calculators
 Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching,
and twisting body movements; in addition to the use of hand tools
 Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment
breakdown
 Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts

Required Qualifications:
 High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
 Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and
within the future.
 No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the
immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of Camarillo will be considered for this
position.
