CHOICE SUPPORT
Support Worker
Nantwich
FULL TIME & PART TIME
November 29, 2024
About the role:
We are looking for a part time support worker to join our team, to help people be part of their local community and live happily in their own home.
This service works 24 hours on a 1-1 basis. You will have a varied array of tasks whilst on shift; everything from cooking & cleaning, taking part in activities such as horse riding, and attending disco's to going shopping or long drives in the car. You will be required to confidently manage challenging behaviours but will be supported and guided by senior staff members to establish appropriate boundaries, manage those behaviours effectively and nurture this person towards a positive future.
This will also include planning alongside members of family and the person’s circle of support to enable this individual to be happy, healthy and to be successful in achieving their wishes and aspirations. The gentleman at this service follows a strict routine therefore, time management, planning and preparation are hugely important. He also has limited communication so strong listening skills and good communication skills are needed.
We aim to create a positive, relaxed home environment where the people we support feel safe, supported & listened to. If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, please get in touch.

Must be flexible and be available to work weekends.
Location:
The service is situated in Nantwich, Cheshire. On street parking is available.
About you:
Experience working in a support living setting would be desirable although not essential, as we will provide full training and induction to support you in your role. You must have genuine empathy for the people we support, with the positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through difficult times. Enjoy teamwork and take pride in getting a job done well alongside your colleagues and have excellent face to face communication skills and a good standard of literacy.
