Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background with at least 6-8 years of experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting. The Senior Clinical Pharmacist will play a key role in providing patient-centered pharmaceutical care, ensuring optimal medication therapy outcomes, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate physician medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
• Provide clinical consultations and recommendations on drug therapy, dosage adjustments, and medication management for patients.
• Conduct medication therapy management (MTM) assessments and ensure that patients receive the highest level of care in terms of drug safety and efficacy.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and dietitians, to develop individualized care plans for patients.
• Educate and counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Participate in clinical rounds and provide expertise on drug therapy management, particularly in critical care and specialty units.
• Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to hospital and regulatory protocols regarding the storage, handling, and distribution of medications.
• Mentor and supervise junior pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and students, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Participate in pharmacy-related research projects and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring all pharmacological interventions are documented clearly and thoroughly.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in pharmacology, clinical guidelines, and new drug therapies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D or equivalent); Master’s or Doctorate in Clinical Pharmacy is preferred.
• A minimum of 6-8 years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Valid UAE Pharmacist License (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in pharmacology, drug therapy management, and clinical guidelines.
• Experience with various therapeutic areas, including but not limited to, oncology, cardiology, and critical care.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and teaching abilities.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).
