The Swedish Internet Foundation’s subsidiary, Meta Solutions, is looking for a senior information architect that is excited about the prospect of furthering interoperability across organizations in Sweden and Europe. Knowledge of modeling languages is a must, previous experience of linked data and semantic web is highly appreciated. The role will span from helping customers to define an appropriate information model to more theoretical work on how to further interoperability in the society as a whole.

The company is today seen as a thought leader within Linked Data solutions in Sweden and other EU countries. Long term customers include The Agency for Digital Government (DIGG) where Meta Solutions has designed and developed the national dataportal (dataportal.se).
Today, over 100 Swedish public organizations use Meta Solutions software Entry Scape.

Linked data cut lead time
We have the technology and solutions to challenge the current legacy business models in information management. With our technology, we find that we can cut delivery lead times with over 75% from the initial idea of an information model to actual use of it, e.g. in a masterdata application. In the public sector we can make even greater savings in time.
How do we do it? With Linked data as the base we can reuse classes and properties easily from one case to another. This allows us to provide more value and also for the architect to focus on the more tricky questions in a modeling assignment. Interoperability is central to the way we work.
The role as Senior Information Architect
When customers are preparing and implementing new ways of working using linked data models, Meta Solutions are often asked to support this transition as experts in the domain of linked data. Customers are striving for more efficient ways of building their information models. In many cases, the business driver is to find an interoperable information model that makes exchange of information easier.
The role as senior Information architect is to work together with our key customers and partners to guide them to make sensible decisions when moving to linked data information models.
To make this process easier, our team uses the tool we develop, Entry Scape Models. The starting point can be already available information models that are combined with commonly used vocabularies as SKOS Dublin Core, and domain specific terms.
An exciting development is that you will be part of the team defining a national modeling infrastructure for Sweden on behalf of DIGG. Already in the pilot phase this will be developed as an integral part of the Swedish national dataportal, i.e. dataportal.se. This work will need to be synchronized with Swedish agencies and working groups within the European commission.
Expected background

• Several years of working with information modeling in complex customer settings
• Experience of tools such as Enterprise Architect
• Consulting experience from the Swedish public sector
• Master of science degree or higher
• Fluent in both Swedish and English
