Procurement Director Surveillance

Do you want to develop procurement at one of Sweden’s most high-tech companies? Saab’s business area Surveillance is looking for a highly business driven Procurement Director to lead the business area’s procurement function on our rapid growth trajectory.
Your role
BA Surveillance is Saab’s largest, and one of the two most rapidly growing, business areas. A fundamental component in delivering to our full potential is a proficient, strategic and business driven procurement function, ensuring a responsive, resilient and effective supply chain. Cutting overall lead times and establishing a reliable supply chain together with our suppliers and partners are key priorities on this growth journey.
The Procurement Director at BA Surveillance is the head of the procurement function, leading the full extent of procurement across the business area. It is therefore an essential role for our business success. In this role, you are accountable for the fulfilment of our procurement objectives in tight collaboration with the business management as well as other key functions such as Planning, Design and Production. You will manage and continuously develop the Procurement organisation across our supply sites.
In this role you will:

Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, cultivating a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to secure competitive and responsive materials supply.
Build and manage strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering partnerships that drive mutual success.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and ethical procurement practices.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the company by identifying and leveraging procurement opportunities to support growth and innovation.

The Procurement Director reports directly to the BA Chief Operating Officer and functionally to Saab Group Chief Procurement Officer.
Your profile
To fit in this role, you must be a highly motivated, experienced and communicative Procurement leader. You demonstrate strategic height, meaning you can connect the overall business plan objectives to challenges in the short to medium term. You are motivated by managing the commercial as well as the functional aspects of procurement, balancing multiple stakeholders and expectations. You have a proven track record as senior manager in procurement or supply chain, expressing integrity in your position while being a true leader.
Preferred experience:

Extensive experience in procurement leadership in an industrial/engineering context
Highly developed business acumen, including strong negotiation and contract management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven track record of effectively leading transformations
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in global procurement
Exceptional drive and problem-solving abilities
Significant management experience
Master degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience

Desired skills:

Experience from defence and/or aviation industry
Supply Chain Performance Management
Organizational development

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

The Procurement Director is part of the COO Management Team at Business Area Surveillance, reporting directly to the BA Chief Operating Officer and functionally to Saab Group Chief Procurement Officer. Primary location can be any of our major sites, preferably Stockholm or Göteborg
