RETAIL SALES REPRESENTATIVE – TILING & BUILDING SOLUTIONS

  • Proactively sell Saint-Gobain products and solutions to retail merchants, ensuring revenue targets and order placements are achieved.
  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships to maximize market advantage, focusing on retail merchants and their sales teams.
  • Collaborate with retailers' contractors and developers to secure market and project opportunities, implementing end-user agreements that drive sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Highlight the unique advantages of our product range, offering technical advice and expertise to clearly communicate the value proposition to customers.
  • Identify opportunities for innovative product offerings, leveraging your knowledge of the supply chain, commercial awareness, and customer insights.
  • Enhance the product mix to deliver value-added solutions aligned with company strategy.

Is this job for you?
Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a customer-facing sales role, ideally with exposure to construction products, tiling, or external sales in a retail environment. A degree, diploma, or relevant industry qualification in construction/building disciplines would be highly advantageous. A valid driver’s license. A proven ability to sell new concepts and products, backed by commercial awareness and the ability to identify and act on opportunities. Experience in the construction market, understanding procurement routes, and leveraging technical knowledge for commercial gain. A commitment to continuous self-development and technical competence.


To make sure nothing is forgotten

As a Retail Sales Representative you will be responsible for sales strategy execution, administration and operational support. Responsible for achieving debt management within area of responsibility. Merchandising as and when required to ensure complete product offering is displayed and is understandable to the end user. Update CRM in terms of visits, projects, customer information and market intelligent to ensure the company is able to draw accurate business information for decision making. The ideal candidate will assist marketing to launch new products to merchant, contractor, and developer customer groups. Attend regional sales meetings giving timeous feedback as and when required. Responsible for training of customer base on existing products, new products, and value add propositions. Give presentations to regional team as necessary.
