Position Overview
As the Reservations Manager, you will oversee the reservations operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes while driving sales and upselling opportunities. Leading by example, you will motivate the team to deliver unparalleled guest experiences, meet revenue targets, and uphold the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate room bookings in collaboration with the sales and reservations team.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy.
- Train and support the reservations team, ensuring adherence to property policies and procedures.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly with a guest-centric approach.
- Monitor daily operations, analyze reservation trends, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to address guest concerns effectively.
- Oversee updates to the reservations system and manage inventory control processes.
- Prepare forecasts and reports to achieve hotel objectives and financial targets.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Proficiency in PMS systems (Innkeeper experience advantageous) and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with revenue management principles and sales strategies.
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Resides in close proximity to Franschhoek (preferred).
