The IIE Vega, Durban Campus has a vacancy for a Part-Time Lecturer in UX and Digital Design for the 2025 academic year.

Competencies Required:

• Excellent communication (written and verbal)

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• 
  An Honours or Master's degree in Digital Design, Interaction Design or Multimedia Design or an undergraduate qualification in a relevant design field and an NQF8 or higher qualification in Higher Education.
  

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• At least 2 years industry experience as a digital, UX or Interaction Designer.
• A solid foundation in web design, and UX design is key.

Working Conditions:

• Please note that this is an Independent Contractor (part-time) role

Working Hours:

• Lectures take place Monday to Friday: 08:00 -17: 30 – specific days and times depend on the timetable for the specific module(s)

Salary:

• Hourly rate commensurate with experience and hours worked.
