Health & Safety Risk Assessment Manager

Job Description:
As the Health and Safety Risk Assessment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the health and safety standards within our hotel group. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk assessments, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations. Your expertise will contribute to creating a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough health and safety risk assessments across all hotel properties.
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health and safety regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices.
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and emergencies.
- Collaborate with hotel management to promote a culture of safety.
- Regularly review and update risk management plans and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with external agencies and regulatory bodies as required.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for management.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) in a health and safety management role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards in South Africa.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional certification in health and safety is highly desirable.
