What we’re looking for

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manager of System Administration to supervise and manage the Enterprise Infrastructure at Orange Services Romania.
The Enterprise Infrastructure team is in charge of both BUILD aspects (architecture, design, implementation) and RUN aspects (overall management, operation, maintenance, performance, and security of the infrastructure components: compute, storage, SAN, DNS, back-up, etc.…) following best practices, company KPIs, and budget guidelines.
In this role, you will be leading a team of system administrators, collaborating with other teams (IT Infrastructure and/or IT DEV/DEVOPS), ensuring seamless operations, and maximizing the efficiency of our enterprise systems.
Your responsibilities will also include strategic planning, capacity planning, and implementing industry best practices for efficient enterprise infrastructure management.

What you’ll be doing

1. Lead and manage a team of system administrators, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
2. Provide services mainly to internal customers, including Data Base Administrators, IT Platforms Engineering and Operations, Application Administrators, and Dev Ops teams, with occasional B2B services as needed.
3. Key responsibilities:

Given that our Enterprise Infrastructure team operates in a 24/7 support model, the Enterprise Infrastructure Manager will play a key role in ensuring seamless operations, escalating any issues that may affect the business, and maintaining effective communication within the team and with upper management.

5. Budget Management & Vendor Relations:
6. Develop/approve the testing strategy in various projects involving Enterprise Infrastructure

7. Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in Enterprise Infrastructure and recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and performance.

What you need to know/have

Required Qualifications
1. Proven experience as a Manager or Team Lead in Enterprise Infrastructure Administration.
2. In-depth knowledge of:
3. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve database-related issues quickly.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of database administrators.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
6. Good project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
