Sourcing Specialist

The primary responsibility of this role is supplier development, supplier contracts and agreements management, PPV, payment term, RFQ activities and Procurement support on a daily basis. Your Responsibilities:

Understand market dynamics, follow market trends and drive costs out by managing supplier relationship
Identify global and local cost opportunities
Develop preferred regional suppliers as Off-AVL proposals for customers;
Working with sourcing associates from other Volex sites globally and leveraging resources
Suppliers offer analyses and comparisons
Participation in QBRs, supplier performance evaluation, supplier audits and periodic supplier market analyses
Maintaining supplier data (prices, payment terms, lead times) in the ERP system
PPV control
Vendor consolidation
Working in a global structure, supporting other sourcing and procurement teams globally

Our Requirements:

Master’s degree or other relevant professional qualification in a related area
Commercial and commodity experience in a similar position is required (experience in a production company will be an asset)
Familiar with plastic, machinery, and metal components, and knowledge of product development processes is preferred
Sourcing, negotiation and supply chain management skills
A service-oriented person with strong communication and influencing skills
Knowledge of supplier cost management techniques and landed cost calculation
Ability to build supplier relationship
Fluent in English in speech and writing
Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
Analytical skills
Open to continuous improvement
Good collaboration and team-working skills
Self-management skills
