At Selrom Solution Philippines Corporation, we take pride in continuous evolution. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. An Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting the foundational systems and technologies that enable an organization’s IT environment to function efficiently and securely. Their role is critical in ensuring that the organization's network, servers, data storage, and overall IT infrastructure are stable, scalable, and optimized for performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Implementation:
Develop and deploy infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage systems, cloud environments, and networks.
Work with architects to design scalable and secure infrastructure that meets business needs.
Implement automation tools for system management and monitoring.
System Administration & Management:
Manage servers, databases, storage systems, and network components.
Ensure the ongoing availability, performance, and reliability of infrastructure systems.
Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to infrastructure components.
Troubleshooting & Support:
Resolve issues with network connectivity, server performance, and system failures.
Provide tier-2 and tier-3 support for infrastructure-related incidents and requests.
Monitor and diagnose infrastructure problems and optimize system performance.
Security & Compliance:
Implement and monitor security measures to protect infrastructure systems from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and attacks.
Ensure infrastructure complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Work with the security team to assess risks and implement appropriate safeguards.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
Continuously monitor system performance to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure that systems meet performance and capacity requirements.
Optimize infrastructure to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Disaster Recovery & Backup:
Design and implement disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.
Regularly test and update disaster recovery and backup procedures to mitigate data loss.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure infrastructure supports organizational objectives.
Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and other IT staff.
Cloud Infrastructure Management (if applicable):
Manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructures (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Oversee cloud resource provisioning, scaling, and management.
Implement cloud cost management strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Expertise in system administration (Linux, Windows Server, etc.).
Familiarity with networking protocols and tools (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Docker).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with storage solutions (SAN, NAS, etc.) and backup technologies.
Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Certifications (optional but beneficial):
Comp TIA Network+ or Security+
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Typically, 3-5 years of experience in an IT infrastructure role, with a solid understanding of networks, servers, and IT systems management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to Php45,000.00 per month
