Job Description
Shift: Night Shift
The BI developer will be responsible for the development, delivery, and maintenance of business intelligence applications and solutions. The position will include ongoing project-based development work, the delivery of scheduled reports, ad-hoc report development and enhancements, and day-to-day support of existing applications and reporting solutions.
The BI Developer works in all phases of reporting application development including design, installation, configuration, physical and logical database design, performance tuning, writing stored procedures and triggers, maintaining security, troubleshooting, providing advanced support. The BI Developer will support multiple application environments.
Qualified candidates must be highly knowledgeable of design and administration best-practices. Extensive hands-on experience is required. We are looking for a person who can solve problems and work independently. The ability to translate user requirements into a design which facilitates user access/reporting is also critical.

• Perform analysis, design, development, and testing activities in support of enterprise reporting, Business Intelligence, and data analytics solutions across a wide range of business and operational functional areas
• Assist with the design, development, and deployment of next generation data warehouse and tools to support long term information delivery and data visualization needs.
• Build and administer Microsoft Power BI pre-production environments,
• Own the development and ongoing maintenance/enhancements of business reporting systems
• Design, develop, test and implement scheduled report deliveries, utilizing automated delivery capabilities.
• Design, develop, test and implement scheduled data integration (ETL) deliveries.
• Write complex SQL queries to implement performant data integration and reporting solutions
• Focus on information/data quality by continuously evaluating data standards and data profiling
• Collaborate with Business Systems Analyst and Quality Assurance engineers to build compliant and quality solutions
• Provide operational support for new and existing BI and data warehouse components.
• Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
• Proactively identifies issues and concerns to management.
• Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 supports when required

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Reporting, Business Intelligence, Data Management, and Data Analytics using market-leading tools, including standard and ad-hoc reporting, dashboards and visualization tools
• 2+ years of Microsoft Power BI experience in creating dynamic reports and complex Power BI dashboards, ability to extract data from different data sources, analyze the reports for any data inconsistency and able to share data insights with IT and Business teams.
• Hands on with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Cloud services and with strong experience with the T-SQL scripting/programming language
• Proficient with SQL; familiar with database design; experience working with large data sets.
• Experienced on industry leading relational database platforms. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server based Enterprise Data Warehouses is a big plus.
• Detail oriented with ability to independently validate / triangulate data and analysis.
• Able to prioritize multiple requests while completing deliverables on time. Self-motivated and can work independently. Ability to troubleshoot, track, and resolve day-to-day issues.
• Passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
• Experience with Snowflake/Snow SQL is a big plus.
• Experience designing and building extract, transformation, and load (ETL) processes to convert operational transactional data into dimensions and fact tables
• Experience with Microsoft Excel Pivot, Power Pivot, VBA highly desired
• Web development (Java, Angular) a plus
• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Desired Skils:

• 5+ yrs experience with Reporting, BI, Data Analytics (any tools)
• 2+ years Microsoft Power BI (must have skills)
• Proficient with MS SQL (must have skills)
• Snowflake/Snow SQL (nice to have/optional)
• Angular/Java (nice to have/optional)
