IT Supervisor

To supervise daily operations of IT Team that would install, upgrade and monitor software and hardware. Oversee and maintain the essentials such as operating systems, business applications, security tools, email, PCs, local and wide area networking. The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in managing enterprise-level networks and systems, particularly in Microsoft Server environments, cloud, and NAS devices.
Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision and Training:
- Supervise and manage the daily activities of the IT team, ensuring that repairs, installations, and other tasks are completed efficiently.
- Provide training to new team members and conduct performance evaluations based on set goals and expectations.
- Ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest IT solutions and best practices by providing continuous training.

IT Support and System Management:
- Oversee the provision of IT support for users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

Manage and maintain various systems and software, including:
- Ubiquiti Unifi Network Equipment (routers, switches, AP)
- Synology NAS Servers
- ESET Antivirus Server
- ZK Biometric Applications
- Autodesk Software (and related troubleshooting)
- Windows Operating Systems
- Moodle-based Learning Website Tool (VIAtechnik University)
- Office 365 and other software licenses
- Zoho Email Server (adding/removing accounts, monitoring licenses)
- VT Helpdesk Tool (management and configuration)

Cybersecurity Oversight:
- Develop, implement, and oversee security policies and practices across multiple locations (US and Philippines).
- Identify, assess, and resolve security and business continuity risks.
- Conduct cybersecurity training for users, focusing on mitigating phishing risks and other common security threats.

Network and Infrastructure Management:
- Manage enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN technologies.
- Administer and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and access points, ensuring optimal performance.
- Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure, such as servers, UPS, network printers, and networking equipment.

Content Management and Collaboration:
- Regularly liaise with the Learning and Development team to update and publish content for the Moodle-based learning platform.
- Manage the system and ensure it remains functional and up-to-date.

License and Software Management:
- Manage software licenses for Autodesk, Office 365, Bluebeam, and other essential tools.
- Ensure proper license tracking and compliance.
- Additional IT-related tasks as required by the organization.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar IT role, with hands-on experience in managing IT systems, networks, and support.

Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN technologies.
- Experience in the setup, administration, and troubleshooting of Synology NAS and Ubiquiti Unifi equipment.
- Proficiency in managing Autodesk software and related tools.
- Knowledge of ESET Antivirus, ZK biometrics, Logmein, and Moodle-based learning platforms.
- Familiarity with server hardware, workstations, UPS, and network printers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Server environments, Azure, AWS and NAS systems.
- Experience with enterprise network devices, including managed switches, WLC, routers, switches, and firewalls.

Cybersecurity Competencies:
- Experience managing cybersecurity practices, including risk assessment and mitigation.
- Ability to develop security policies and train team members on best practices.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and firewall configuration.

Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to self-correct work.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Certifications (Preferred but not required):
- IT certifications (Comp TIA A+, Comp TIA Security+, or equivalent certifications, CCNA) are a plus.
