• Responsible for completion of work orders for tasks related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the assigned buildings utilizing work order related software programs
• Responsible for implementing routine physical improvements
• Respond to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocol
• Assist Supervisor in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories and logs
• Implement, with Supervisor, a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs
• Assist with controlling expenses associated with the operation of the buildings.
• Communicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changes
• Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices
• Consistently acts in a professional and courteous manner with tenants, hospital client, co-workers, vendors, patients, and other stakeholders, ensuring respectful and effective interactions
• Utilize materials, supplies, tools and other building property in a safe, productive manner
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

• 3+ years of related work experience and technical training, 5+ years of related work experience ideal
• High school graduate or GED required, technical school training in maintenance related courses preferred
• CFC Handling Certification preferred
• Strong communication skills required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as you will use your own vehicle to travel between Panama City and Tallahassee
• Have working knowledge of tools and their proper use and must be safety conscious
• 24-hour availability for emergencies and as part of an on-call rotation
• Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanics
• Willingness to work overtime on special projects as required
• Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer’s specifications and written operational procedures
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills to foster effective teamwork and maintain positive relationships with clients, tenants, and co-workers
• Ability to work independently and organize/prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software
