Background Screener – Full Time
Job Summary
We are a leading global background screening company providing reports to the military and employers. We perform education verifications accross the globe. We are seeking dedicated employees willing to learn how to perform background research. We teach you how to research criminal records and education sources, verify candidates' information, and input the outcome into a client-facing report. You will learn how to perform accurate searches in a professional and timely manner, adhering to our guidelines. Pay is based on experience. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the day-to-day process of completing background checks for our diverse clients, consistent with all Secur Test guidelines.

You will deliver first-class customer and candidate experience, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and completeness of each report and professionalism. Duties you will learn and master.
  • Ensure that duties are carried out professionally and in line with the priority to help deliver timely reports that are accurate and complete.
  • Quickly and effectively research and verify facts provided by Candidates to ensure the screening process is completed promptly.
  • Process background reports according to current reporting guidelines and standards.
  • Maintain in-depth working knowledge of all current guidelines.
  • Complete re-investigation or dispute requests requiring further investigation.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt turnaround on all reports.
  • Enter achieved information and input thorough and accurate notes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of actions taken.
  • Provide timely follow-up and follow through on all requests, reports, and escalations.
  • Communicate with Candidates with tact and diplomacy to obtain missing information or to clarify details as quickly as possible.
  • Collaborate with other teams to keep Clients informed of issues throughout the screening process.
  • Maintain a "Continuous Improvement" state of mind and helps to suggest and implement changes.
  • Be open to cross-training in other functions outside of the immediate scope of responsibility.
  • Ensure all actions comply with all applicable legal and data protection laws.
  • Assist team members and works as part of the team to ensure customers’ expectations are met.
  • May assist with mentoring, training, and coaching of new team members within the immediate team.
  • May assist in ad hoc projects as and when required.
  • Contact courts, other government agencies, or Vendors to complete verification of assigned record.
  • Consistently acquire new or updated knowledge of jurisdictional processes to become proficient in assigned work.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent required
College Education is a Plus

Requirements
  • Computer and typing skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed information throughout the shift.
  • Ability to consistently arrive for scheduled shift and work 40 hours per week.
  • Has some knowledge, experience, and skill in applying straightforward procedures.
  • Understands and works well in a team environment.
  • Have a positive work attitude with the ability to take instruction.
  • Self-Starter and can work independently and with others.
  • The Office Admin position requires the ability to interact with clients on the telephone, via email, and respond to client and applicant emails in a positive manner.
  • Meet hiring standards – comprehensive background investigation and drug testing.
Experience
None required as we train all researchers.

The Office Admin position ideally should have experience in customer service and office related duties.
Pay scale depends on skill sets and how quickly you learn the required functions of the job. Bi-lingual Spanish and Arabic are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $15.00 to $16.00 /hour - (based on various roles, experience, production, and supervisory position)

Secur Test, Inc., founded over 45 years ago, seeks dedicated and motivated individuals for full-time positions. This is not a call center. We are an international background screening company. We train you on how to become a successful background researcher. As a criminal background researcher, you enter information into various background-screening systems to gather criminal history information. You must have a strong verbal, computer, and analytical skills to ensure full comprehension of the background searches. You may also be cross trained to speak with clients and candidates about their background reports. Our shifts are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
