Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driver to deliver on behalf of Fed Ex . Seeking (Independent Contractor) tractor trailer to join our team OTR. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various destinations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
. As an independent contractor with CDL A, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely deliveries
Responsibilities

• Operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while ensuring timely delivery of goods.
• Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are handled with care.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on route driving is preferred.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Experience operating refrigerated trailers or other specialized vehicles is advantageous.
• Prior experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
