Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Stock shelves and ensure products are displayed attractively
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Utilize retail math skills for transactions and inventory management
- Upsell products and promote special promotions
- Conduct product demonstrations when required
- Assist with technical sales inquiries
Skills:
- Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in using cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Knowledge of stock procedures to maintain inventory levels
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues
- Understanding of retail math concepts for accurate transactions
- Ability to upsell products and drive sales
- Experience in conducting product demonstrations is a plus
- Familiarity with technical sales processes is beneficial
- Prior experience in a grocery store or retail setting is advantageous
