Orbit Entreprises Sarl FMCG company based in Kinshasa, D.R. Congo, specializing in the production of Beverages (Water, Carbonated Soft Drinks and Juice), Cosmetics and in-house Plastic. As part of our commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking experienced persons to join our team and oversee the operations respective areas.
Position Overview:
As a Technician/Operator, the candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of key production equipment. The production line includes:
  • PET Blower – for bottle formation
  • Filling Machine – for filling and capping
  • Labelling Machine – for correct labelling of bottles
  • Coding Machine – for product coding and expiry date printing
  • Shrink Wrapping – for packaging and securing products
  • Palletizer – for stacking products efficiently for shipment
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor machines to ensure smooth, continuous production with minimal downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the PET Blower, Filling Machines, Labelling Machines, Shrink Wrapping, and Palletizers.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to meet production and quality control targets.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, ensuring minimal production disruptions.
  • Work closely with the production team to improve line efficiency and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine performance, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Educational Background: Ideally, a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in operating and maintaining production lines for carbonated soft drinks or similar FMCG manufacturing environments. Experience in a large-scale beverage manufacturing company is a must.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, particularly in beverage production line machinery (PET blowers, filling machines, etc.).
    • Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems.
    • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery efficiently.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
    • Excellent attention to detail, especially when it comes to quality control.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
