Position Overview:
Biodyne Pakistan is seeking a skilled Microbiologist to join our team in Lahore. The Microbiologist will play a critical role in creating and maintaining a sterile laboratory environment, conducting microbiological testing, and developing innovative solutions using microbial technologies. The successful candidate will be a creative problem solver with experience in microbiology, particularly in bacterial culturing, bacterial counts, and testing of microbial products for various applications.
Responsibilities:
1. Sterile Lab Environment: Establish and maintain a sterile laboratory environment to ensure the integrity and purity of microbial cultures and experimental samples.
2. Budget Management: Work within tight budgets to optimize laboratory operations, minimize costs, and maximize efficiency without compromising on quality or safety standards.
3. Microbiological Testing: Conduct bacterial counts, culture maintenance, and identification of microbial species using standard microbiological techniques and methodologies.
4. Product Testing: Test different bacterial products and microbial formulations to assess their efficacy, viability, and performance in various environmental settings and applications.
5. Research and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute research projects aimed at developing innovative microbial solutions for environmental remediation, agriculture, and other applications.
6. Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues related to microbial cultures, experimental protocols, and laboratory equipment, implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Qualifications:
1. Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
2. Proven experience in creating and maintaining sterile laboratory environments, conducting bacterial counts, and performing microbiological testing.
3. Strong understanding of microbiological techniques, including bacterial culturing, staining, microscopy, and identification methods.
4. Experience in testing microbial products and formulations for efficacy, viability, and performance in different environmental settings and applications.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work creatively and resourcefully within tight budgets and constraints.
6. Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting, with the ability to communicate findings effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
7. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, quality assurance procedures, and regulatory requirements for microbiological testing and research.
