Service Desk Engineer – Internal IT - Lysaker, Oslo

Norway, Lysaker – Full time – Apply before 29.12.24 Our valued service desk employee is retiring, and we are looking for his successor at our headquarters in Lysaker. You will work in an international environment, and English is our working language. The role involves keeping all data and video equipment in meeting rooms, common areas, and personal computer equipment updated and operational.
Our international service team operates through our service management system, and you will be part of a day-shift setup with the capability to solve issues via screen sharing in other countries. If you’re interested in an independent, service-oriented role and enjoy fixing IT equipment and software, this could be for you.
Responsibilities and Selected Tasks

• Proactively maintain PCs, printers, and video equipment at headquarters
• Participate in global internal IT collaboration
• Provide support at other locations in Norway if needed
• Manage equipment replacements and be responsible for the equipment pool
• Daily user interaction to assist with challenges via the service management system (i Top) and in-person user support
• Suggest solutions to improve internal user experience

Qualifications and Personal Skills

• Relevant education and experience
• Strong knowledge of Windows server/client architecture and O-365
• Experience with Dynamics 365 is advantageous
• Knowledge of cloud service integration and security solutions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Relevant certifications are a plus
• Curious and has a structured approach to work

The workplace is at our headquarters in Lysaker. Visits to our other offices in Norway may occur. The position reports to the Information Technology Manager based in Houston, Texas. Our working language is English, but most of the communication in the office is in Norwegian. We work in a hybrid model, though this position is primarily on-site. Some after-hours work may occasionally be required.
