Responsibilities
- Oversee the capital structure and optimal financing options for the profitability of the business.
- Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement (on daily trading rate determinant)
- Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives
- Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract/fund raising compliance and reporting
- Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings calls, directors, management team, and rest of the company.
- Liaises with external tax consultants and ensures successful completion of the company’s tax filings.
- Prepares monthly and annual budget, monthly and quarterly cash flow forecast, monthly & quarterly financial statements, periodic reports for the directors.
- Oversees all foreign exchange transactions and ensures foreign currency exposure is mitigated.
- Responsible for the design of financial reporting framework, accounting policies, tax management and controls.
- Internalized the monthly payroll of the business without any compliance hitches.
- Set up the finance and accounting departments, supervise them to attain financial objectives for the organization, and ensure all financial reporting practices adhere to IFRS and GAAP.
- Manages the bookkeeping function, including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and resolving any irregularities.
- Coordinates the audit process with external auditors and ensures all supporting documents are available to facilitate a smooth and successful audit.
- B.Sc in Accounting / Finance from recognized institutions;
- Minimum of 10 years of cognate experiences from manufacturing companies
- M.BA will be an added advantage;
- Membership of professional certifications such as CFI will be an added advantage;
- Strong Leadership, Communication, Organizational and Analytical skills;
- Must be computer literate.
