A system integrator ICT company with a clear focus in technology enabled solutions and professional services is recruiting a Senior Implementation Engineer (Networks/Collaboration).
Job Summary,
You will be responsible for implementation of the solutions relating to Networks/Collaboration. You will interface with external vendors, OEM, and presales team in ensuring optimum performance of the solution areas under your portfolio. You will guide the company on technology trends on areas you manage from time to time.
Job description Senior Network Engineer (Networks/Collaboration)
· Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
· Oversee and execute planned network maintenance activity while minimizing impact to services.
· Provide technical leadership on operational and project related work. Design and implement plans to introduce new technology into the voice, video and enterprise networks while minimizing network outages and ensuring a seamless end-user experience.
· Conduct thorough analysis of service results and respond to any escalated service delivery issues in a timely manner.
· Design solutions and create implementation and support models for technology encompassing a specific specialization or platform.
· Configure, install, support, and troubleshoot voice, video, and enterprise network equipment
· Work effectively with other IS teams and outsourcing provider(s) to ensure technology solutions are effectively managed and performed
· Review reports to ensure all services are completely and successfully delivered. Proactively intervene to correct problems when they are encountered. Use metrics to improve processes.
· Assist in the development of enterprise network operations processes, procedures and documentation.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal service delivery in the customer environment.
· Establishing the customer environment by designing system configurations, directing system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing industry standards
· Analyzing existing enterprise network infrastructure to proffer solutions for optimal performance of customer network infrastructure
· Developing architecture plans for enterprise network solutions and deployments.
Certifications
· Must have CCNP enterprise certification
· Skills required
· Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols. Protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, RIPv2, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, IPSec, BGP, HSRP, GLBP, VRRP, VSS, VPc
· University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or other related courses or numerate disciplines.
· MSc will be an added Advantage
· CCNP - Security, CCNP - Route and Switch, CISSP, MSCA, VMware
· Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Certification
· Able to explain technical problems in a simple term
· Work well with people and Willingness to travel
· Teamwork skills and the ability to work with different teams, clients, and groups of staff across an organization.
· Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize your workload.
· In-depth understanding of security technology
· Minimum of 4 years of experience.
